Privacy Notice
Last updated: September 6, 2026
This Privacy Notice explains how Look At Media Group ("Look At Media Group", "we", "us"), the operator of the VibeLoco website ("VibeLoco", the "Service"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use the Service.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Look At Media Group is the data controller for personal data processed through VibeLoco. This means we determine why and how your personal data is processed. You can contact us about this notice at privacy@vibeloco.app.
2. Personal data we collect
- Usage and telemetry data — pages viewed, features used, approximate interactions, and performance/diagnostic data.
- Device and technical identifiers — IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
- Preferences — your theme (light/dark) choice stored locally on your device.
- Support and correspondence — messages you send us if you contact us.
Payment data (card numbers, billing details) is collected directly by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, when you make a donation. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
3. Why we process your data and our legal bases
- Providing the Service (contract performance / legitimate interests): displaying neighborhood safety information and remembering your preferences.
- Security and fraud prevention (legitimate interests / legal obligation): protecting the Service and our users.
- Product improvement and analytics (legitimate interests): understanding how the Service is used so we can improve it.
- Customer support (contract performance / legitimate interests): responding to your inquiries.
- Advertising (consent, where required): we may show ads via Google AdSense, which may use cookies or similar technologies.
4. Who we share your data with
- Paddle.com (Merchant of Record) — for the sale of donations, payment processing, tax compliance, invoicing, and related customer service. Paddle processes your payment and billing data as the seller of record; see Paddle's privacy policy at paddle.com.
- Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database, analytics, and support tooling providers that process data on our behalf.
- Advertising partners — Google AdSense, where ads are enabled on the Service.
- Professional advisers — legal and accounting advisers where necessary.
- Authorities — where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers are located outside the UK/EEA. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, after which it is deleted or anonymised, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority, and we will respond to requests within one month. To exercise any right, contact privacy@vibeloco.app.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect personal data.
9. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies: essential storage (for example, remembering your theme preference), and analytics/advertising cookies (Google AdSense) where enabled. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and, where offered, through Google's ad personalization settings.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
